US & UK: CUSTOMS & TARIFFS

 

Orders shipped to the United States or the United Kingdom may be subject to customs duties, taxes, or import fees. These charges are determined exclusively by the customs authorities of the destination country. Susmies does not cover, set, control, or collect any customs duties or import taxes. According to the U.S. Customs and Border Protection, the importer of record is responsible for paying all applicable duties and fees.

All customs fees are the sole responsibility of the customer. 

It is important to distinguish: 

  • Shipping: The transportation cost of delivering your order from our warehouse to your address. 

  • Customs Duties / Tariffs: Government-imposed taxes charged upon importation. These charges are independent of the product price and shipping cost, and must be paid by the recipient.

SHIPPING & DELIVERY PROCESS 

Once the order is placed, our warehouse will begin preparing it immediately and will ship the package to the United States or United Kingdom on the same day. Upon arrival in the destination country, the courier may: 

  • Provide a link for the customer to pay customs fees in advance, or 

  • Collect the customs fees directly at the time of delivery. 

The courier will attempt delivery up to three times.

Customs Delays: Delivery timelines provided are estimates. Delays caused by customs clearance procedures or inspections are beyond our control and do not constitute a breach of contract. Such delays do not entitle the customer to cancel the order, request a refund, or claim any compensation.

FAILURE TO PAY CUSTOMS FEES 

If the customer chooses not to pay the required customs duties, the following will occur: 

  • The package will be held by customs according to the regulations of the destination country. 

  • After the established holding period, the shipment will be classified as abandoned. 

  • Abandoned shipments cannot be returned to Susmies. 

  • No refunds will be issued in cases where the customer refuses to pay customs fees and the order is abandoned. 

Once a package enters the United States or the United Kingdom, Susmies is unable to recall or retrieve it if customs fees are not paid.

ORDER MODIFICATIONS AND CANCELLATIONS 

Our fulfillment center begins processing orders immediately, therefore we are not able to accommodate changes to most orders. If you need to request a cancellation or modification, please contact us as soon as possible at orders@susmies.com with your order details. We will make every effort to assist, but we cannot guarantee that any changes can be made once an order has been placed. 

During periods of high order volume, we are unable to cancel or edit orders. Susmies is not responsible for address errors, delivery issues, or delays that occur after the package has left our facility. 

The responsibility for providing complete and accurate shipping information lies solely with the customer. If the shipment is delayed, lost, or returned to Susmies due to incorrect or incomplete delivery information provided by the customer, no refund will be issued until the package is received and processed, and the cost of original shipping and any return/handling fees may be deducted.
